Aetna announced today, August 16th, 2016, that they will be exiting ACA markets in all states except Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, and Virginia.  These four states will cover a total of 242 counties, and Aetna plans to offer an off-exchange product in 2017  for most of the on-exchange counties they had previously provided products for.

Plan coverage for 2016 will not be effected and members who will be impacted by the exit will receive communication before the 2017 open enrollment period.
